Negro Found Dead Monday Morning Near Light Plant

Jesse Smith, About 35, Pressing Shop Operator, Victim

Jesse Smith, negro, about 35 years old, was found dead early last Monday
morning near the light plant by another negro.

Dr. J. F. Faith, parish coroner, stated that death was due to natural causes. 
No bruises or cuts of any kind could be found on the dead negro.

Smith was operator of a cleaning and pressing shop in the L. & A. quarters,
and was on his way to his place of business when found by the passerby.
