Smith Dies; Interment At Goldonna Robert Paul Smith, 58, an oil field worker, died in his home in New Orleans Friday, Novemeber 7, 1969 at 7:23 p.m. after a short illness. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by five sons, Robert B. Smith of Houma, Warren B. Smith of Marrero, Norman Lee Smith of Boston, Mass., Cecil Smith of Houma, and Daniel Smith of Houma; two daughters, Mrs. Tommy Ray Borquett of Houma and Miss Laura Marie Smith of Houma; three sisters, Mrs. May Hayes of Alexandria, Mrs. Buris Hyde of Pollock, and Mrs. Benny Bryant of Goldonna; and four grandchildren. The funeral services were held at the Hixson Brothers Chapel in Winnfield at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial was in the Goldonna Cemetery, with Rev. Kitt Hawthorne officiating.
