Smith, aged 31 years, 3 months, and 15 days. Mr. Smith was born in this parish September 16th, 1859 and was married to Miss Emma T. (Tennessee) Warner, December 18, 1879. He was a consistent member of the Winnfield Baptist Church, and a good citizen of this parish. He was a member of the Farmers Union, which organization held a procession over his body at his burial at Jerusalem Church yard, Jan. 3rd, 1888. He leaves a heart stricken wife, two small girl children and a host of other relatives to mourn his loss. He was a faithful husband, a dutiful father, a kind neighbor and a true friend. As such, he was known in life, and as such we reverence his memory.
