Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel of Winnfield with the Revs. Willie Broadway, H. L. Holt, and Billy Yocum officiating. Burial will be in the Beech Creek Cemetery near Olla. Mr. Smith was retired from the Louisiana Department of Highways and was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Mayes Smith of Winnfield; one son, Chester Smith of Winnfield; and two grandchildren (Wayne and Sissy).
