Sneed Dies At Atlanta Mrs. J. C. Sneed, known to her many friends as "Grandma Sneed," died at the home of Mrs. Crume in Atlanta, Saturday, March 31st, from an attack of flu. Mrs. Sneed was 88 years, 8 months, and 29 days old, and had been in ill health for the past two years. Mrs. Sneed was born in Alabama and moved to Claiborne Parish, La., when a young girl, where she later married and reared her family. In later years she moved to Jackson Parish, staying there two years and then coming to this parish. She joined the Methodist Church at the age of 15 years and always lived a devoted Christian life. Those surviving are a daughter, Mrs. J. M. Milam, Winnfield; two sisters, Mesdames Pace and Chandler of Claiborne Parish and Shreveport; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Atlanta Sunday at 4:00 o'clock, Rev. Billings officiating. Interment was in Atlanta Cemetery.
