Mrs. V. C. Snelling Dies; Buried At Pine Ridge

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia C. Snelling, 76, of South Winnfield, who
died in a local hospital late Friday, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the
South Winnfield Baptist Church, with Rev. C. C. Martin and Rev. Charles
Barfield officiating.

Burial was in the Pine Ridge Cemetery.  Acting as pallbearers were Clyde
Smith, Sr., Walter Goins, Leon Powell, Leonard Evans, and Richard Gilcrease.

Surviving are three sons, Preston and Archie Snelling of Winnfield and Dewitt
Snelling of Mangham; one daughter, Mrs. Ira Key of Winnfield; one brother,
John Powell of Winnfield and 11 grandchildren.
