Samuel L. Sowers Dead

Samuel L. Sowers, age 32 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Sowers, died in
Washington, D. C. , Monday, January 17.  The body was shipped Wednesday and
will arrive over the Rock Island Friday night, and burial will take place in
the Winnfield Cemetery Saturday.  Mr. Sowers was in service with the army and
was stationed in Georgia, but when he became ill was sent to the government
hospital at Washington.  He is survived by his parents and three brothers,
Howard and J. N. Sowers of Winnfield, and Rufus Sowers of Crowville; three
sisters, Mrs. B. F. Allbritton, of Tullos, Mrs. C. J. Erskins, of Hill, and
Mrs. W. C. Abrams, of Sikes, who are all here for the funeral.  Mr. and
Mrs. B. F. Sowers, of Dodson, are also here and will remain for the funeral
Saturday.
