Last Rites For Mrs. Ary Sowers Thursday, June 19

Funeral services for Mrs. Ary J. Sowers, 73, who died enroute to a hospital in
Alexandria, Tuesday morning, June 17, were held at the Southern Funeral Home
chapel at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, with Rev. H. H. McBride officiating. 
Burial was in the Thompson Cemetery near Sikes.

Mrs. Sowers was born and reared in Mississippi, moving to Winn Parish
approximately 30 years ago.  At the time of her death she was making her home
with a daughter on Route 1, Dodson.

She is survived by two sons, Elmer Sowers of Pineville and George Sowers of
New Orleans; one daughter, Mrs. Zettie Wade of Rt. 1, Dodson; one sister, Mrs.
Lou McDavid of Dry Prong; one brother, J. T. Busby of Dry Prong; and a number
of nieces and nephews and grandchildren.

Pallbearers were comprised of grandsons and nephews.  They were Don L. Busby,
Clinton P. Wade, Douglas H. Sowers, John H. Busby, Herman H. Thompson, Thomas
W. Sowers, Thomas F. Chandler, and Walter H. Sowers.
