Father of Dodson Minister Dies In Jonesboro

Funeral rites for James Ira Sowers, 84, of Jonesboro were held Monday at 10:30
a.m. at Midway Baptist Church with Revs. Benny Alford and J. W. Payne
officiating.  Interment was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Sowers died at 8:30 a.m. Friday, August 9, 1968 in a Winnfield hospital.

Survivors include a son, Rev. Loyd Sowers of Dodson, pastor of the Dodson
Baptist Church.
