J. B. Sowers of Dodson Succumbs Thursday Night

J. B. Sowers, about 67 years of age, and a member of a well known Winn Parish
family, died at his home near Dodson, Thursday night, December 21, following a
paralytic stroke.  Mr. Sowers had been in ill health for some time.  He was a
member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Fritz Wade, of Dodson, and a
son, Edwin Sowers of Alexandria and Athens.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Sikes Baptist Church
with the Rev. Joe Adams officiating.
