Joe D. Spence, 58, Dies At His Home In Joyce April 8

Joe D. Spence, 58, of Joyce, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his home
in Joyce Wednesday morning.  He had been mowing his lawn earlier.  He was a
millwright for Tremont Lumber Company.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. April 9, 1959 from the East
Winnfield Baptist church with the pastor, Rev. Kenneth Wall officiating. 
Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Southern
Funeral Home.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Spence; two sons, Joe Earl of Joyce and
James of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Mike Carroll of DeQueen, Ark., and Mrs.
Zed Shaddox of Memphis, and one grandchild.

Mr. Spence was a native of DeQueen, Ark.
