James Spikes

Brother of L. M. and Erastus Spikes, died of heart failure at the supper table
last Sunday night at the residence of his brother Erastus in Ward Six.

James was a cripple and a great sufferer.  His remains were laid to rest in
Sardis grave yard on Monday in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing
relatives and friends who realize that their loss is his eternal gain.
