Final Rites For Mrs. J. E. Spillars Held At Mt. Zion

Mrs. J. E. Spillars, 81 year old Winn Parish woman, died at 1 p.m. Monday in a
local hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in Mt. Zion Church with the Rev. Ray Teal
officiating, assisted by Rev. Jack Jones.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Spillers was born in Mississippi and was the former Frances Sebelle
Robertson.  She spent most of her life in Winn Parish and was a member
of the Atlanta Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Bandy and Mrs.
Harrison McClain of Atlanta and Mrs. Silas Ates of Michigan; two sons, Weidner
Spillers of Atlanta and Clyde Spillers of Chicago, Ill; 16 grandchildren
and a number of great grandchildren.
