Spillers Killed When He Falls From Derrick Saturday Lucius Spillers, 34 years old, was instantly killed when he fell form a derrick of the Gulf Refining Co. Last Saturday near Smackover, Ark. He is believed to have lost his footing as he started down from the thrible boar, 60 feet off the ground, falling head first to the floor. Other members of the crew were in the engine room engaged in repair work and no one saw him fall, it is stated. Mr. Spillers is a native of Winn Parish, having moved to Smackover four years ago. The body was brought here Monday and funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. A. McMurray and interment was made in the Corinth Cemetery Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Spillers was a member of the Baptist Church with his membership at Corinth. He is survived by his wife and five children, three sisters and one brother. Mr. E. A. Spillers of Winnfield and Mr. J. E. Spillers of Atlanta were his uncles.
