Obituaries: A. W. Stewart

Archie W. Stewart, 67, of Shreveport died at the Virginia Hall Nursing Home
Friday, January 13, 1978.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in
New Hope Cemetery near Winnfield.

He was a retired nurseryman and a native of Winn Parish.

Survivors include four daughters, Annie McManus of Harahan, Elaine Tubberville
of Monroe, Ellen Huey of Calhoun and Margie Stewart of Atlanta; two brothers,
Lonnie Stewart of Ruston and Leon Stewart of Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. P.
A. Parker of Shreveport, Bernice Davis of Jena, La., and Mattie Stoll of
Bossier City; his mother, Etta Stewart of Monroe; and seven grandchildren.
