J. Cheston Stevens

J. Cheston Stevens, 75, of Winnfield, died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, September
1, 1983 in his home.

He was a retired juvenile probation officer for the State of Louisiana.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Stevens of Winnfield; two sons, J.
Cheston Stevens, Jr., of Bastrop and Dr. Alfred Gene Stevens of Baton Rouge;
three grandchildren.

Services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Southern with Revs.
Roy Moore, Robert Derr, and J. P. Miles officiating.  Burial was in
Couley Methodist Cemetery.
