All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: July 25, 1957 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Final Rites For Mrs. Tom Stewart Held At New Hope Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Walker Stewart, 76, who died in Winnfield Monday night, were held at 10:30 a.m. at the New Hope Methodist Church, with the Rev. Virgil Taylor, pastor of the Hudson Nazarene Church, in charge. He was assisted by Dr. W. L. Holcomb and Rev. Grafton Shaw. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were James Vines, Clarence Price, Jr., Marvin Berry, Guy Berry, Grealy Stewart, and Elvie Carpenter. Mrs. Stewart spent most of her life in the Hudson Community where she was born. She was a member of the Hudson Nazarene Church. Surviving are her husband, Tom J. Stewart, Winnfield; one son, Leonard Stewart, Hudson; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard Willis, Winnfield, and Mrs. Grady Hammett, Lake Charles; eight grandchildren, two brothers, Sid Walker of Slidell and Vester Walker of Oak Grove.
