Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Dodson Methodist Church with the Rev. Roy Aikens officiating, assisted by the Rev. George Sherman. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery near Dodson by Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. A member of the Methodist Church, Mrs. Stewart worked in all phases of the religious field. Surviviors include her husband, Leamon Stewart of Dodson; two brothers, Joseph Roy Payne of Winnfield and William E. Payne of Clinton, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Blackmon of Bay Cliff, Tex., and Mrs. O. F. Richardson of Lake Charles. Pallbearers were Gene Houston, Jr., Ronnie Payne, Billy Payne, Johnny Blackmon, Lacey Hemperley, and J. L. Brooks.
