All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: June 21, 1972 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Former Dodson Resident Dies In Lubbock, Texas Friends of Miss Ina Stinson received word of her death last Thursday, June 15, in West Texas Hospital, Lubbock, Texas, after a lengthy illness. She was a former resident of Dodson, the daughter of John and Julia Hasson Stinson who were pioneer residents of the Ward 4 area (Gansville). The family was among the first to settle in Dodson. In the early twenties she moved from Dodson with her sister, Mrs. Henry A. Boone and the late Mr. Boone to Marion, Alabama. She continued making her home with her sister and in 1937 they moved to Lubbock, Texas to be near their brother, the late John A. Stinson. Miss Stinson was a very lovely woman with lofty ideals and a good Christian character. She was a joy to all who knew her. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. H. A. Boone and five nieces: Beth Boone of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Mary and Henri Sue Boone of Lubbock, Texas, Mrs. Bob Darling of Liberty Hill, Louisiana, and Mrs. Louise Wasson Walker of Monroe, Louisiana. Interment was in the family plot in the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Mrs. Walker of Monroe attended the last rites for her aunt on Saturday.
