Stinson, Banker, Dies December 12 Funeral services were held Monday at Jonesboro Methodist Church for Paul F. Stinson, 62, of Jonesboro, who died early Sunday, December 12, 1965, at Robinson's Clinic after a lengthy illness. The Revs. Eldredge Blakely and Terrell T. Lowe officiated. Burial was in Jonesboro Cemetery by Edmonds Funeral Home. A native of Jackson Parish, Mr. Stinson was executive vice president of Jackson Parish Bank in Jonesboro, past president of the Jackson Parish School Board,, state representative from 1940-1948, past president of the Northeast Louisiana Clearinghouse Association, and past president of the Louisiana State Golfers Association. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mildred McBride Stinson; one son, David J. Stinson of Jonesboro; one daughter, Mrs. Pat Stewart of Jonesboro; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Defreese of Jonesboro, Mrs. Maxa Bundrick of Coushatta, and Mrs. Elizabeth Stinson of Abilene, Texas; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were Cecil Tait, Larry Bundrick, Woody Walker, Billy Ross, Wayland and Oscar McDonald.
