Dave Stone Dies Thursday Morning Of Heart Attack

Dave Stone, 62 years old, tenant farmer on the S. J. Harper place near Jordan
Hill, dropped dead from a heart attack in front of the local gas company
office early Thursday morning on his way to the Mosely Clinic, and was found
dead by persons who saw him fall.

Funeral services are to be held Friday.  A definite time had not been set
pending word from relatives of the deceased who will come here from his home
in Arkansas.  Services are to be held at the Mineral Springs Church with
burial in the cemetery there.

Mr. Stone has farmed in several places about Winn Parish and at one time
operated his own farm near Gaars Mill.  For the past several years he had been
on the Harper farm.  He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Sidnie Stroud
of Winn Parish, and an adopted daughter, Mary Stewart Stone, aged 10.  He had
been treated for heart trouble for several years.
