Stovall, Jr. Services for Dennis Mackey Stovall, Jr., of Carthage, Texas, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 6 at First United Methodist Church in Carthage, Rev. Marshall McQueen officiating. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport. He died Monday, August 4, at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. Mr. Stovall, a former resident of Dodson, Sikes, and Winnfield, was a retired pharmacist, and a registered practicing pharmacist in Louisiana and Texas for 42 years, and was a member of the Texas Pharmaceutical Association. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carthage, where he served on the Administrative Board and the Board of Trustees, served on the Board of Trustees of Panola Junior College, was a director of the First State Bank of Carthage and a lifetime member of the Noon Lions Club. He received the Panola County Citizenship Award in 1966. Survivors include hie wife, Mrs. Ada Massingil Stovall, Carthage; one daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Branch, Woodville, Tx.; one son, Stephen Stovall, Nacogdoches, Tx.; five sisters, Mrs. Velda Prince, Carthage, Mrs. Maurine McCarty, Mrs. Carlotta Ferguson, Mrs. Sarah Fouts, Mrs. Evelyn Finup, all of Shreveport; one brother, Rev. James L. Stovall, Baton Rouge, La., four grandsons, and one granddaughter.
