W. Moffett, his son in law, on December 19, 1906. He was born on the place where now stands the town of Pollock, Louisiana, on February 11, 1827, which made him 79 years, 10 months, and 9 days old. Mr. Stone moved into the Gansville, neighborhood in his youth and married Miss Polly Ann Rodgers, from which union two children were born, Mr. Aljouna Stone, of Jackson Parish, and Mrs. T. W. Moffett, of this city, both of whom were present at his death. Mr. Stone was one of nature's noblemen. He led a consistent, Christian life, worked hard and accumulated enough of this world's goods to make him comfortable in his old age. He was a Mason and also a member of David Pierson Camp No. 1603 U. C. V. He leaves two brothers, Messrs. D. M. Stone, of Wyatt, and B. W. Stone, of Dodson, besides scores of relatives and friends. The remains were interred at Gansville. The Sentinel extends to the bereaved family its sincere condolence.
