M. Stothart Held Thursday Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Milam Stothart, Winnfield business woman, who died in a local hospital following an illness of several months, were held this afternoon, Thursday, at four o'clock at the First Baptist Church. Rev. W. L. Holcomb, pastor, conducted the rites and interment followed in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mrs. Stothart and her brother, V. Matt Milam, Sr., who survives her, are the co-owners of the chain of Milam stores in Winn, Jackson, and Grant Parishes, which business was founded by their father, the late W. M. Milam, more than fifty years ago. Mrs. Stothart had been active in the business since early girlhood. Born near Gansville, Mrs. Stothart came with her parents to Winnfield about 1908, where she has been identified with local church and civic affairs. Her husband, Joe B. Stothart, and brother, V. Matt Milam, Sr., are the only immediate survivors. Active pallbearers included Reggie Gates, Louie James, Homer Parker, Howard Hearne, W. W. Middleton, Roy Moore.
