T. Stone At Minden Jan. 20 D. T. Stone, 74, Minden, died Wednesday, January 17, 1961, in a hospital in Shreveport, after an illness of three weeks. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 20, in the Green Klienegger Funeral Chapel with Rev. A. T. Powers, pastor of the East Side Baptist Church of Minden, officiating. Burial was in the Minden Cemetery. Mr. Stone was a resident of Minden for 25 years. He was employed by the Webster Parish Fair Association as caretaker for the fair grounds. Mr. Stone, who was a member of the East Side Baptist Church, is survived by his mother, Mrs. Minnie Stone, Winnfield; his widow, Mrs. Maude Stone of Minden; two sons, James B., Shreveport, and Robert E., Ft. Hood, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Imogene White, Houston, Mrs. Marie Poland, Alvin, and Mrs. Mary Johnson, Paris, France. He also leaves three brothers, Thomas S., Waveland, Miss., R. Lee, Texarkana, Ark.; Barton W., New London, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Josie Dickerson, Shreveport; Mrs. Eunice Shannon, Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Myrtice Moore, Jonesboro; and Mae Stone, Winnfield, and 11 grandchildren.
