Mrs. Audie Lea Allbritton Stovall January 1, 1916 - November 16, 2008

CARTHAGE, TX - Funeral services for Mrs. Audie Lea Allbritton Stovall, age 92 formerly of Carthage,
TX, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church of
Carthage under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:30
p.m. at Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport. Rev. Paul Thomasson and Rev. Gaven Spinney will officiate
the services. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs.
Stovall, a native of Winn Parrish, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 16, 2008, in Bossier
City, following a brief illness.

Audie Lea Allbritton Stovall was born on January 1, 1916, in Tullos, LA to Floyd and Florence Sowers
Allbritton. She was a graduate of Winnfield High School and attended Draughon Business School in
Shreveport. She worked for the Louisiana Department of Labor during WWII. Mrs. Stovall married Karl E.
Stovall on June 24, 1946 in Shreveport. Mrs. Stovall served as secretary of the First United Methodist
Church of Carthage for 24 years. She and her late husband owned and operated Stovall's Café in
Carthage and later Stovall's, Inc. at Lake Murvaul. Mrs. Stovall was a longtime member of the First
United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 20, 1970; brother J. C.
Allbritton; sister, Helen Fleniken; and son-in-law, Frank Newman.

Mrs. Stovall is survived by two daughters, Karlene Taylor and husband Gary of Olla, LA and Gayle N.
Walker and husband Mike of Haughton, LA; four grandchildren, Sheri W. Armstrong, Leigh N. Wolf, Bruce
Whitaker, and Eric Newman; twelve great-grandchildren, Kristen, Karlea, Clayton, and Kamryn Armstrong,
Holland, Audrey, and Noah Wolf, Brandon, Baylee, and Brooke Whitaker, and Shelby and Barrett Newman;
half brother, H. F. Allbritton of Covington, LA; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces,
nephews, and cousins.

Serving as pallbearers are Bruce Whitaker, Eric Newman, Joe Armstrong, Charlie Wolf, Orville
Allbritton, Holland Wolf, Brandon Whitaker, and Clayton Armstrong. Serving as honorary pallbearers are
Kristen, Karlea, and Kamryn Armstrong, Audrey and Noah Wolf, Baylee and Brooke Whitaker, and Shelby
and Barrett Newman.
