L. Stovall, 62, Dodson, Succumbs After Long Illness Funeral Conducted Monday; Burial In Transport Cemetery Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. for R. L. Stovall, 62, of Dodson, who died after an illness of three years. Rites were conducted by the Rev. Fred S. Flurry, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Winnfield, assisted by the Rev. John Reynaud, of Pineville, pastor of the Dodson Baptist Church, and interment was in the Transport Cemetery. The deceased, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Stovall, was a unit foreman of the state highway department before he became ill three years ago. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Stovall; two daughters, Miss Thera Stovall of Lansing, Mich., and Mrs. Margaret Jensen of Neosha, Mo.; five brothers, Morgan Stovall of Dodson, Logan Stovall of Texas City, Texas; Lee Stovall of Vallejo, Calif.; Simon Stovall of Petaluma, Calif.; and John Conley Stovall of Kermit, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Faith of Winnfield and Mrs. Nita Nicholson of Texas City, Texas, and one grandchild, Jan Jensen. Pallbearers were J. Y. Terry, L. M. Payne, Angus Stovall, Rupert Stovall, Hugh Walker Stovall, and Tom Stovall. (Submitted by Greggory Ellis Davies, Winnfield, Winn Parish, LA.)
