Mrs. Stroud

Funeral services for Mrs. Ollie Stroud, 80, of Verda, were held at 11 a.m.
Wednesday in Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel of Winnfield with the
Rev. Wayne Spears officiating.

Burial was in Friendship Cemetery in Fishvile for Mrs. Stroud who died at
12:45 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 1978 in Anne Mae Mathews Nursing Home at
Alexandria after a lengthy illness.

A native of Grant Parish, Mrs. Stroud was a retired seamstress and clerk.  She
was a member of the Verda Baptist Church.

Survivors include three brothers, Henry Lee Williams of Colfax, Otho Williams
of Port Arthur, Texas, and Owen Williams of Beaumont, Texas; one sister, Mrs.
McKinney Gaines of Houma, and several nieces and nephews.
