Stroud Mrs. Tennie Eagles Stroud, 77, native and life-long resident of Winnfield, died at the home of her son, Dewey Stroud, in South Winnfield, Sunday morning at 9 o'clock following an illness of five weeks duration. Funeral services were conducted at the South Winnfield Methodist Church Monday at 12 noon with the Rev. Alwin Stokes and the Rev. Fred Flurry officiating. Burial was in the Mars Hill Cemetery at 2 p.m. Mrs. Stroud, the widow of the late George T. Stroud, had been a member of the Methodist Church since he was 16 years of age. Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Dewey Stroud, Mrs. O. M. Jarnagin, Mrs. Noah Gilcrease, Lambert Stroud of Winnfield; Mrs. Grady Spillers of Tioga; Elmer Stroud and Gene Stroud of Shreveport; Louis Stroud of Haynesville; and one brother, J. S. Eagles, Sr., of Winnfield, and a number of grandchildren.
