Strain Dies in Texas After a Paralysis Stroke Was Visiting in the Home of His Son When Death Occurred D. A. Strain, age 56 years, died at the home of his son, B. C. Strain, in Grapevine, Texas, Wednesday afternoon. His death was the result of a paralysis stroke which he suffered Monday and from which he never regained consciousness. Mr. Strain had been ill for about ten months suffering from the effects of an earlier stroke. He had been visiting in the home of his son in Texas about six weeks, hoping to regain health when the second stroke came. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock in Grapevine where he was buried. Mrs. Strain was unable to be with her husband during his last illness or to attend the funeral. Mr. Strain is quite well known in Winnfield, having been a resident here for 23 years and having a host of friends in this community who will regret his passing. The deceased is survived by five sons, B. C. Strain, Grapevine, Texas; L. C. Strain of Teague, Texas; Bateman Strain of Little Rock, Ark., Roy Strain and Guy Strain, and one daughter.
