Joel I. Strange Dies; Interment At Beech Creek

Joel I. Strange, 56, of Tullos, died at 9:50 a.m. Monday, July 16, 1973 at a
Shreveport hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Southern Funeral Home
Chapel at Winnfield with Rev. Paul Graves and Rev. Louis Couch conducting the
services. Burial was in the Beech Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Strange was a forester and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lois C. Strange of Tullos; one son, William
M. Strange of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Louise Carter of Shreveport; four
brothers, Henry Strange and J. D. Strange, both of Shreveport; Ernest Strange
of West Monroe, and Troy Strange of Olla; and seven grandchildren.
