Father of Howard Straughan Succumbs; Buried in Pineville

Louis B. Straughan, Sr., 81, father of Howard Straughan of Winnfield, died in
an Alexandria hospital January 28.  Final rites were held at Hixson Funeral
Home chapel, Alexandria at 2 p.m. Saturday with burial in Forest Lawn Memorial
Park cemetery.

Survivors include his widow; three sons, Howard of Winnfield, Harold
of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Louis B., Jr., of Pineville; five
grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
