Funeral Rites For George D. Stroud Held

George W. Stroud, 69, of Winnfield, died at 2:50 a.m. Sunday, August 31, 1969
in the Veterans Hospital at Alexandria.  He was a World War II veteran and a
member of the South Winnfield Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Southern Funeral
Home with Rev. E. B. Barton officiating.  Burial was in Garden of Memories
Cemetery.

Survivors are his wife, Lela Stroud of Winnfield; three brothers, Eugene
Stroud of Pineville, E. E. Stroud of Shreveport, and Louis Stroud of Arcadia;
three sisters, Ethel Jarnagin and Betty Gilcrease, both of Winnfield, and
Bessie Spillers of Shreveport.
