Funeral Rites For Truck Crash Victim Held

Funeral services for James E. Strickland, 20, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in
Goldonna Baptist Church with Rev. A. S. Davis and Rev. Douglas Burnley
officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Winnfield.

Mr. Strickland died Friday, August 25, 1967, in Henderson, Texas from a truck
wreck.  He was a native of Goldonna.

Survivors are his widow; a son, Timmy Strickland, of Shreveport; a brother, W.
A. Strickland of Alvin, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Jean S. Williams of Alvin, and
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Strickland of Winnfield.
