W. B. Strickland, Tremont Employee, Buried Nov. 30

Funeral services were held November 30, from Hixson chapel for William B.
Strickland, Winn Parish resident.  Services were under direction of Rev. Don
L. Harwell, pastor of Second Methodist Church, Orange, Texas, assisted by Rev.
P. M. Carraway, pastor of the Winnfield Methodist Church.

Mr. Strickland was an active member of the Rochelle Methodist Church for many
years before coming to Joyce three years ago.  He was a member of the Masonic
Lodge at Georgetown.  The Lodge held graveside services, directed by Bro.
Limmie Kees, assisted by Bro. J. C. Hannegan.

Survivors are his wife; one son, William, of Joyce; three sisters, Mrs. J. L.
Moore, Hawkins, Texas, Mrs. W. R. Horn, Fort Bragg, California, Mrs. J. S.
Finley, Longstreet, La.; four brothers, J. H. Strickland, Overton, Texas, J.
C. Strickland, Columbia, La., H. H. Strickland, Clarks, La., and Jessie
Hensley, Peru, South America.

Pallbearers were J. S. Strickland, Alton Nugent, Arnold Jordan, Wiley Nugent,
Jack Strickland, all nephews of the deceased.
