Wm. E. Strickland Is Buried At Old Saline Thursday

William Edward Strickland, 77, died Tuesday at the Natchitoches Parish
Hospital.  He was a retired farmer, a member of the Montgomery Masonic Lodge
No. 168, F. & A. M..  He was born and reared in Winn Parish near Saline Lake.

Funeral services were held at the First National Funeral Home chapel in
Natchitoches at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Earl Marr officiating.  Burial
was in the Saline Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites following.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Edward and Waymond Strickland, both of
Natchitoches; three sisters, Mrs. Ima McLamore of Natchitoches, Mrs. Oma Clark
of Clarence and Mrs. Alice Myers of Campti; five grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.
