Mrs. Sicily Strickland

Funeral services for Mrs. Sicily Strickland, of Henderson, Texas, mother of
Mrs. J. A. Whitley of Shreveport, who died at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the
Henderson hospital, were held at 4 p.m. Thursday in Henderson.

A native of Winn parish and the widow of E. W. Strickland, Mrs. Strickland was
72 years old.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of A. Crim Funeral Home of Henderson. 
Officiating at the rites held at the Mt. Hope Baptist Church was Rev. L. L.
Pruitt, pastor of the West Street Baptist Church.  Burial was in the church
cemetery.

In addition to Mrs. Whitley, Mrs. Strickland is survived by three other
daughters, Mrs. R. T. Shumate of Montgomery, and Mrs. R. F. Strickland and
Mrs. A. F. Wilkinson, both of Henderson; three sons, Lonnie Strickland of
Longview, Texas, and Clinton and Cara Strickland, both of Tyler, Texas; two
sisters, Mrs. J. W. Mathis of Montgomery and Mrs. W. E. Strickland of St.
Maurice; and two brothers, Robert Collinsworth of Campti and Andy Collinsworth
of Winnfield.
