Luther Stroud Succumbs; Rites Held May 15

Luther H. Stroud of Chatham died Tuesday, May 14, in a Ruston hospital after
a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church in Chatham at 3 p.m.
Wednesday with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Survivors are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Mona Holtzclaw and Miss Luanna
Stroud, both of Chatham; two brothers, C. A. Stroud of Weywego, Wisc.,
and C. M. Stroud of Sikes; one sister, Mrs. Lena Johnston of Dodson; and
two grandchildren.

He was a native of Winnfield and was in the log trucking business.  Masonic
rites were held at the graveside.
