Funeral Rites For Mrs. Houston Stroud Held

Mrs. Muriel Norma Stroud of Montgomery, 61, died at 10:15 p.m. Sunday,
December 7, 1969, in Confederate Memorial Hospital at Shreveport.

Survivors include her husband, Houston Stroud of Montgomery; three sons,
Robert Stroud of Huttig, Ark., Ray Burns Stroud of Lake Charles, and Joe
Randolph Stroud of New Orleans; two daughters, Mrs. Robert D. Todd of Bell
City, La., and Mrs. Jerry L. Starnes of Shreveport; two brothers, Andrew L.
Jones of Richmond, Calif., and William E. Jones of Alexandria; and nine
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Mount Zion Methodist
Church near Montgomery, Rev. Dell Durand officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers
Funeral Home of Winnfield.
