W. Strange Dies At Her Home In Flat Creek, La. Mrs. J. W. Strange died at her home in Flat Creek, La., Sunday, February 5, 1928. She was born in Claiborne County, Miss, about 40 years ago. The Lord called her and she went away from friends and loved ones. Mrs. Strange was a true friend and Christian and will be missed by all who knew her. She was sitting by the fire talking when she fell from her chair. All was done to save her but the Lord knew best, so he called her home. She was laid to rest Monday afternoon at 3:00 in the Beech Creek Cemetery, Rev. Cullen conducting the funeral services. She leaves to mourn her death a husband, John W. Strange; three children, Iva, Inez, and Pearl Strange; three sisters, Mrs. Ollie Gorman, of Urania, La.; Mrs. Cora James of Calexico, Calif.; and Mrs. Maggie Finley, Manifest, La.; one brother, Mr. L. W. Emrick, Marannia, Ark., and host of relatives and friends. Relatives attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. John Kirkland, Marvin Beck, Mrs. Marian Taylor, of Goodpine; Mr. Eugene Beck, of Winnfield; Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Wiggins, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Strange and Mr. I. B. Strange, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Hinton, of Flat Creek, and Mrs. Ollie Gorman of Urania.
