O. Stroud Dies After Long Illness Earlton O. Stroud, 68, of Montgomery, died Tuesday, July 8, 1975 in Huey P. Long hospital in Pineville after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Winn Parish and a retired pipe fitter. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in United Pentecostal Church in Montgomery with Rev. D. J. Whitten officiating, assisted by Rev. David Meyer. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha Stroud of Montgomery; two sons, Charles Stroud of Pineland, Texas, and Eugene Stroud of Orange, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Opal Williams of Woodville, Texas, Mrs. Joann Buntyn of Orange, Texas, Mrs. Alice Drake of Buna, Texas, and Mrs. Shirley Bass of Montgomery. Also five brothers, Lonnie Stroud, Leonard Stroud, both of Deweyville, Texas, Mark Stroud of Montgomery, Joel Stroud of St. Maurice, and T. A. Stroud of Alexandria; four sisters, Mrs. Quitman Smart of Buna, Texas, Mrs. Josephine Smart, Mrs. Lessie Cloud, Mrs. Murriel Brown, all of Deweyville, Texas; 19 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
