Jesse Stroud

Funeral services for Jesse J. Stroud, 76, of Winnfield, who died Monday,
December 12, 1977, in the local hospital after a lengthy illness, will be held
at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be in
Mt. Zion Cemetery near Montgomery.

Mr. Stroud was a member of the Methodist Church, a native of Winn parish, and
a retired logger.

He is survived by two sons, James Stroud and Billy Stroud of Tacoma, Wash.;
one daughter, Mrs. Jessie Dykes of Shreveport; one brother, Robert Stroud of
Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. Dollie Varnell of Winnfield; seven grandchildren.
