Strozier Held At Sikes Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. W. Sikes Succumbs At Olla Mrs. Della Sikes Strozier, 33 years, 10 months, and 11 days of age, died at a clinic in Olla, La., May 29, 1937, following several weeks illness. Death came as a result of hemorrhage of the brain. Funeral services were conducted at the Sikes Baptist Church, May 30th, with interment in the Sikes Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. The Rev. E. M. Daffin, Rev. T. J. Ratcliffe, and Uncle Henry Hopkins had charge of the services. Pallbearers were Dr. O. P. Mauterer, J. E. Harris, Dr. B. W. Thompson, J. E. Nugent, Melvin Blalock, and J. W. Warford, all of Olla. The deceased was born and reared at Fellowship near Sikes. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. W. Sikes. At the age of 15 years she joined the Fellowship Church and in November, 1924, she married Bryant Strozier, who survives her. Besides the parents and husband, she leaves three sisters, Mrs. I. P. Simmons of Sikes, Mrs. A. A. Crain of Arp, Texas, and Mrs. Ethel Hawthorn, of Alexandria.
