R. Stump Dies; Rites Wednesday Funeral services for Edison R. Stump, 58, of Winnfield were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home here with the Rev. Roy Moore and the Rev. Eugene Love officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Stump died Sunday, April 14, 1974 in a Shreveport hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of West Virginia, Mr. Stump had resided in Winn Parish for the past 12 years. He was a retired master sergeant with the United States Air Force and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Retired Armed Forces Association, and the Northwest Game and Preserve Commission. He was owner of Stump's Fishing Camp on Saline Lake near here. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Kathlyn Stump of Winnfield; one daughter, Miss Karen Stump of Winnfield; four brothers, W. O. Stump of Elkview, W. Va., Richard B. Stump of Biloxi, Miss., Charles Stump of Center, Texas, and George Stump of Cleveland, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Holly Summers of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. S. A. Pauley of Lake Charles, and Mrs. Ruby West of Sulphur.
