All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: March 1, 1951 Winn Parish Enterprise Final Rites For Mrs. John Stewart Held Here Sunday Mrs. Georgia Ann Walker Stewart, 73 years, 3 months, and 10 days of age, passed away at the home of her daughter in Clinton, La., February 24. The remains were brought to Winnfield where they remained at the Hixson Brothers parlor until the funeral services at the First Methodist Church Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. P. M. Caraway, pastor, conducted the final rites. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were Charlie Willis, Welby Willis, J. C. Berry, O. Stewart, Linwood Doss, and Elzie Hatten. A native of Winn Parish, Mrs. Stewart had resided in Clinton for the past four years. She was a member of the Methodist Church and was the widow of the late John Stewart who died here in 1947. Surviving are two sons, H. R. of Jackson, La., and J. N. of Clinton; one daughter, Mrs. W. B. Breitung of Clinton; three brothers, C. B. Walker of Slidell, F. B. Walker of Winnfield, and Festus Walker of Oak Grove; one sister, Mrs. T. J. Stewart of Winnfield; and four grandchildren.
