All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: February 8, 1984 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Patsy Lafayette Sullivan Graveside funeral services were held for Mrs. Patsy Lafayette Sullivan of Baton Rouge at 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, February 3, 1984 at Wright Cemetery near Sikes, with Reverend Charles Haley officiating. Earlier services were held at 10 a.m. at Welch Funeral Chapel in Baton Rouge with Reverend Bullard Jones, the assistant pastor of her church, officiating. Mrs. Sullivan died about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, at Baton Rouge General Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born March 27, 1932 in Sikes, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Mrs. Leola Beavers Lafayette. She was a former long time resident of Arkansas, living in both Pine Bluff and Little Rock. Survivors include her husband, Joe Sullivan of Baton Rouge; two sons, Dennis Swilley of Denton, Texas, and Lynn Swilley of Arlington, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. James (Debbie) Jelly, of a Florida airbase; two grandsons and a granddaughter; her father of Monroe, and two brothers, Paul and Jimmy Lafayette, both of Baton Rouge. Among those attending the services in Sikes were Mr. and Mrs. Orland Swilley and Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Swilley of Winnfield; Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Swilley of San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Lynette Swilley Peters and daughter, Alicia, of Conroe, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Waymon Swilley of Houston, Texas; and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Swilley of Alexandria.
