Sullivan, 69, Held Wednesday James Franklin Sullivan, 69 years, retired carpenter of Winnfield, died in a Winnfield hospital Sunday, March 2, where he was receiving treatment following a heart attack. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Methodist Church of which he was a member, with Rev. Alwin Stokes and Rev. Louis B. Williams officiating. Burial was in the family plot in the Winnfield Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were Everett Burke, J. M. Breedlove, Ellis Williams, E. E. Edmonds, J. F. Walker, and P. G. Gilcrease. A native of Bienville Parish, Mr. Sullivan had lived in Winn Parish since 1902. His wife, the former Carrie Louise Cobb Sullivan, preceded him in death. Surviving are four sons, Leahmon and Raymond, of Route 2, Winnfield, J. T. of Valdosta, Ga., and Milburn of Gulfport, Miss.; one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Haggard of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, John, of Goldonna; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Hill of Texarkana, Ark.
