SULLIVAN DIES; RITES AT YANKEE SPRINGS Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Saturday, December 30th, at Yankee Springs Baptist Church for John R. Sullivan, 87 years 11 months old. Rev. D.W. McDaniel, Rev. Glen Griffin, Rev. Roy Moore officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Sullivan died at 3:30 o'clock Friday, December 29th after a short illness in a local hospital. He was amember of Yankee Springs Baptist Church and the oldest deacon. Mr. Sullivan had been a mason since 1921. He was a retired farmer and had been in Autumn Leaves Nursing Home almost six years. Survivors are one son, Dayton O. Sullivan of Calvin, three daughters, Mrs. Eucha Weeks of Jonesboro, Mrs. Lillian [Chandler] Carter, Mrs. Marie Martin of Winnfield, 15 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons, John L. Sullivan, Lonnie Chandler, Jess Carpenter, Charles F. Cagle, Dewie D. (Bobby) Weeks, and Frank Martin.
