H. Sutton Dies at Home Here on Wednesday A. M. Funeral Services Held on Thursday Afternoon at St. Maurice Charles H. Sutton, age 87, died at his home here Wednesday morning at one-thirty o'clock following an extended illness of several years. Mr. Sutton was a native of Georgia but came to Louisiana settling in the St. Maurice Community. He with his family moved to Winnfield about 1907. He was a member of the Methodist church. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the St. Maurice church followed by interment in the church cemetery there, conducted by the Rev. G. A. Morgan, pastor of the First Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Sutton is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. H. Crawford of Winnfield and Mrs. T. H. Stell of Shreveport, two sons, C. E. Sutton of Winnfield and Irvin Sutton of Montgomery, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
