Mrs. C. L. Sweat, 49, Dies; Burial At Jordan Hill

Mrs. Gertrude Lois Sweat, 49, died at 1 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 1972 in a
Ruston hospital following a long illness.  She was a native of Winnfield and
a member of the Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her husband, Clem L. Sweat of Joyce; two sons, Gene A. Sweat
of Joyce and Harvel Sweat of Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs. John T. Williams
of Winnfield; her mother, Mrs. Maudie Jenkins of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs.
Murial Brooks of Winnfield and Mrs. Opal Thompson of New Orleans; and seven
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Southern Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Buford Coleman and Rev. Durwood Hallmark officiating.  Burial
was in Jordan Hill Cemetery.
